I am no scientists, I am no physicist, but I do believe it could be possible to eradicate some natural disasters. The solution and understanding below may be initially naive. Despite that, someone with the right background can expand on the concept and resolve the pains felt by many.

Assumptions
Ability to Identify
We generally do a good job of identifying tornados and hurricanes before touchdown. This allows for adequate alert systems and preparation for many.
Knowledge of Formation
Our current basic understandings of tornado formation likely need to be accurate for the solution below to become effective. At a high level, I believe that these form when warm air rises upward towards a centralized point and cold air falls downwards, capturing the rising heat within.
Inability to Eradicate Natural Disasters
I assume that we currently do not currently have an effective and cost-aware method of dissolving hurricanes and tornados. Our current understanding is that these weather systems are destroyed once the formation conditions above vanish. This could either be the cool air capturing the warm air fades, or the warm air within turns to cool air. This could also happen if the central convergence point that the warm air flows to is removed.
Impact and Damage Costs
According to NOAA 115 hurricanes dealt damages exceeding 1 billion in damages between 2020-2024. I am under the assumption the materials required for the solution are far less expensive.
Solution
Upon initial formation of these weather systems, the impacted area (state for example) officials should be notified of the estimated cost of damage for the weather system. For systems that are expected to exceed $1-$10 million of damages, they should be offered the solution provided by the federal government at a cost. If a state deems the solution to save more damage costs and lives than the cost of the solution, they can buy. But buy what?
Detonation
States can request that the federal government launches an explosive into the center of the weather system. This explosive will disrupt the system by simulating the causes of a system’s end mentioned above. This could explode and release substantial cool air within, releasing the trapped warm air and ending the system. This would disrupt the enclosed system and prevent the full formation of the system before immense damages are realized. This option can save countless lives and damages as well as provide an additional revenue source and military training for the federal government.
While, my understanding of these weather systems may be limited, I believe someone should be able to make the concept work. We should be able to identify these storms and send a probe into the center to disrupt it before completion.
